Debby Mitchell, who works in the OU-Arizona Education Department, will read from her works at Phoenix College as part of its Creative Writing Certificate Program. Mitchell will join six other poets for the reading, which will be held in the Willow Room of Phoenix College's Osborn Campus, 10th Avenue and Flower Street. Refreshments will be provided and the event is free and open to the public.

Mitchell is a poet, educator and desert interpreter who writes to speak for the desert life that surrounds her Arizona home. Conservation of the desert ecosystem is very close to her heart. She is a past nominee for the Pushcart Prize in poetry.
