Structured English Immersion (SEI) K-12

After August 31, 2006, an SEI, ESL, or Bilingual Endorsement is required of all certified classroom teachers, supervisors, principals, and superintendents.  The provisional SEI endorsement is valid for three years and is not renewable.

Certification on or before August 31, 2006 must take:
1. EDU 56406 - Structured English Immersion I for ELL (SEI I- 15 hrs)

Full Endorsement Requirements: (SEI)

Certification on or before August 31, 2006 must take both:
1. EDU 56406 - Structured English Immersion I for ELL (SEI I- 15hrs)
2. EDU 56407 - Structured English Immersion II for ELL (SEI II - 45 hrs)

Certification after August 31, 2006 must take both:
1. EDU 66506 - Structured English Immersion III for ELL (SEI III - 45 hrs) This course is the Augmented (SEI I) for those with Certification after August 31, 2006.
2. EDU 56407 - Structured English Immersion II for ELL (SEI II -45hrs)
