Special Subject Area Endorsement: Art, Music and Physical Education

All requirements for the Special Subject Area Endorsement must be met.

1.  A valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (plastic) issued by the Arizona Department of Safety.
2.  A valid Arizona Elementary, Secondary or Special Education Certificate.
3.  One course in the methods of teaching the subject at the elementary level.
4.  One course in the methods of teaching the subject at the secondary level.
5.  Option A or B:
     A: 30 semester credit hours of courses in the subject area.
     OR
     B: A passing score in the subject area portion of the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment, if an assessment as been adopted by the Board.
