Requirements:

• A valid Arizona elementary, secondary or special education certificate.
• At least one course in the methods of teaching the subject at the elementary level and at the secondary level.
• Only one of the following:
  • 24 semester credit hours of courses in subject area; or
    A passing test score on the subject area portion of the Arizona
  • Educator Proficiency Assessment, if an assessment has been adopted by the board.
