Dr. Kirk Wessel completed his undergraduate degree in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and his MBA and Ph.D. (Strategy) from the University of Utah. Over the course of his career he has served as a carrier-based Naval Aviator, commanded a Navy helicopter squadron, owned a successful organizational consulting firm, and led both the human resource and operations functions for Fortune 500 companies. In addition, Kirk has served on the board of directors of many for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to his leadership role at Ottawa University, Kirk was Management Department Chair and MBA Academic Chair at Westminster College and published a book on new product development performance.
