Master of Arts in Counseling: Christian Counseling
Make a difference for others by working in the Christian counseling field in both Christian and secular settings. As part of our Master’s degree in Counseling, course topics include the Integration of Psychology and Christianity, Professional and Ethical Issues in Counseling, and more.
For this concentration and in order to earn a Christian counseling degree, you must be simultaneously, but separately, admitted to both the Ottawa University and the Phoenix Seminary programs. Both school programs require significant course work in Christian counseling. Upon successful completion of all requirements of each school, you will be awarded the Ottawa University Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and the Phoenix Seminary Graduate Diploma in Christian Counseling (GDCC). With a Christian counseling degree, you will understand the necessary fundamentals of human growth and development, professional and ethical issues in counseling, biblical counseling, a Christian view of sexuality, Christian marriage counseling, and more. This program is accredited by CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs).
