Bachelor of Arts in Human Services

Courses in this program introduce you to policies and programs designed to meet community needs among varied populations. You will learn to think critically and analytically, and gain insight into the factors that influence the delivery of human services.

You will also learn how to help people cope with personal challenges such as poverty, substance abuse, mental health, and relational crisis. Skills gained through this course of study include program implementation, client interviewing, data gathering, counseling, consulting, and case management.

This major follows the guidelines of the National Organization for Human Service Education. A communication concentration is also available.
