Adawe LifePlan Center
Here is where students are assigned a personal Adawe Advisor—a professional, caring counselor ready to guide and support them from the minute they enroll, to the time they establish their major, start looking for internships, all the way through graduation.
The Adawe Advisor helps students develop a holistic life plan that serves as a guide throughout their college careers and beyond, a career portfolio, conduct personal and career assessments and participate in a wide range of experiential learning opportunities. This person will be one among many at Ottawa University who will guide students through the successful transition of learning to life goals…to a life of significance.
Through an Adawe Advisor and the Adawe LifePlan Center, students gain a holistic undergraduate experience punctuated by these four areas of focus:
Designing a balanced life through time management, self-assessment, campus involvement, and relationships with others.
Seeking academic, creative and intellectual growth through study habits, writing ability, self-expression, and critical thinking.
Establishing an identity as a global citizen through diversity and inclusivity, consciousness of history and cultures.
Forging a vision for the future through integrated philosophies of life, career and personal goals and ethical decision-making.
