Ottawa University’s campus ministries conducted its annual Braving Discipleship retreat for area high school students on November 5, 6 and 7. Braving Discipleship is a studentled weekend retreat for high school students held onThe College campus.

During the weekend, students learned what it means to “Get REAL” with speaker Andrew Kirschner, professor of philosophy and apologetics at Ozark Christian College. They also worshipped with Finding Favour, a new Christian band that recently signed with the Greg Oliver Agency and has been touring with Building 429 and Britt Nicole.

“It was very exciting having both of these spiritual leaders on campus for this event,” said Campus Pastor Bud McCluney. “Braving Discipleship is an intense time of spiritual growth for all who come. I believe Andrew Kirschner and Finding Favour related directly to the students and deepened the spiritual experience for them.”

Also during the retreat, youth participants were part of small group studies led by Ottawa University students, helped the Ottawa community through service projects, and enjoyed a weekend on The College campus building relationships with new people.
