Peters Auditorium. “Woyzeck” is a German play from the 1830s that has been influential to theatre practitioners throughout the 20th century. The play is based loosely on the true story of Johann Friedrich Woyzeck, a soldier in the Hessian army who was found guilty of the murder of his mistress. “Woyzeck” was OU Theatre’s studio production, meaning that it used alternative staging to allow the students and the audience a unique view into the world of the play. On April 14, 15 and 16, “All in the Timing” by David Ives was the OU™ Theatre production and featured a series of one-act plays woven together with the theme of “timing.” Joel Williams was the director.
