OU Solidifies Transfer Agreement

Posted by cservaes on September 19, 2011 in "Academic Programs", Wisconsin Ottawa University has finalized a transfer agreement with the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS), which allows WTCS students to transfer up to 80 credits toward an Ottawa University bachelor’s degree. The transfer agreement was completed in June. The WTCS has 16 technical college districts throughout Wisconsin, which offer more than 300 programs awarding two-year associate degrees, one and two-year technical diplomas and short-term technical diplomas. WTCS students with associate degrees will typically have fulfilled OU’s breadth area requirements as a result of completing their associate degree. They can then go on to earn bachelor’s degrees in 15 majors and master’s degrees in business administration or human resources through Ottawa University – Wisconsin. “This agreement provides students from around the state with a dynamic educational pathway that links strong, cutting-edge technical education with a professional and liberal arts education that Ottawa University has been providing for 146 years,” says Dr. Wade Mauland, OU-Wisconsin campus executive. “With an everchanging, dynamic and global workplace, students can benefit from a synthesis of technical understanding gained at our state’s great technical colleges with the applied critical thinking, communication and advanced problem-solving skills afforded at Ottawa University.”
