Get started by registering to attend Ottawa University's Pre-registration event. There you will enroll in courses, as well as finalize any other elements necessary to begin classes as an Ottawa University Brave! Space is limited so register early!
Register for a Pre-registration Event
The following pages will assist you and make your Pre-registration visit as quick as possible; as well as ensure that you have all of your documents needed in order to enroll in courses.
Math Assessment
All students are required to complete a math placement assessment online prior to enrollment. The math assessment is completed online and is housed within our Blackboard learning management system.
To access the assessment navigate to
www.ottawa.edu/blackboard.
Your temporary login is in the following format:
Username: StudentIDmath
Password: StudentIDmath
If you are a mathematics major, complete the “Math Track Assessment.” If you are
not a mathematics major, complete the “Non-math Track Assessment.”

Financial Aid
Our Family Financial Planner is here to assist with your Financial Aid questions. In an effort to make this process easier on our students’ families, students will want to log-in to the MyOttawa portal (
myottawa.ottawa.edu—open in a new page) to find what documents still need to be completed.

Who is my roommate?
Housing assignments can be found on the
MyOttawa portal and will be available prior to July 15, 2013. Housing assignments will not be mailed so please check your MyOttawa portal in July.

Student Athletes
All student-athletes are required to complete a variety of forms that will be available soon. Check back at a later time for more details.
Transcripts
It is important that the University has all of your official transcripts on file prior to beginning courses at Ottawa University. This includes high school and college transcripts.
Transcripts should be mailed from the school directly to Ottawa University at the following address:

Financial Information
Students are required to have a plan in place with the University to finance their college education prior to August 1, 2013.
This means that all financial aid documents must be completed by that day. In addition, if there is a balance due, the University must be notified of how that will be handled.
Ottawa University offers students and families several options to assist with any amount due after financial aid has been applied. Those options include:

How do I know how much I owe?
As of July 1, 2013, an estimated statement will be available on the MyOttawa portal. Once housing assignments have been made (July 15, 2013) the most current statement will be available.

MyOttawa News
The MyOttawa portal is an important asset for our students and is your primary source for information as you begin your college career as an Ottawa University Brave.
To sign in to MyOttawa:

Go to myottawa.ottawa.edu

Username: your student id # (your id number is printed on most documents you receive from Ottawa University)

Your temporary password was emailed to your personal account or mailed to you in your deposit confirmation letter. This password is the same as your student email password. To change or find your password, go to www.ottawa.edu/ouhelp. You will find on the right side of the page "Student Password Management."

Email
Another important element that you will find on MyOttawa is a link to your student email. This email account has been established for you and is yours to keep—even after you graduate from Ottawa University.
This will be one of the venues for communication with the University—professors, financial aid, the business office, and much more. Check it regularly to stay up to date on happenings around campus.
Your student email address is typically firstname.lastname@student.ottawa.edu.Your temporary password was emailed to your personal account or mailed to you in your deposit confirmation letter. This password is the same as your MyOttawa portal password. To change or find your password, go to
www.ottawa.edu/ouhelp. You will find on the right side of the page "Student Password Management."
To access your student email, go to the
MyOttawa portal.
E2campus
This is also the place where you can sign up for the e-2-campus alert system. This system is used to notify you of important and emergency announcements. This service is available through email and text. To Sign up for E2campus you will need to sign into your MyOttawa portal.
Directions for logging into the MyOttawa portal are located in the “MyOttawa News” tab.
Once you log-in, scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see “Get the Message”. Click on “create an account” and follow the prompts. Once you have created an account you will receive a verification code via text. You will need to type it into the verification box on the website. Once this is completed you are set up to receive notifications.
