Richard Foster


Richard Foster is the founder of Renovaré (www.renovare.us), a nonprofit organization that models, resources, and advocates intentional living through Christian spiritual formation and discipleship. He is the author or co-author of seven books, including Celebration of Discipline; PRAYER: Finding the Heart’s True Home; Freedom of Simplicity; and Streams of Living Water, among others. Richard is also the lead editor of The Life with God Bible. He has been a professor at Friends University and pastor of Evangelical Friends churches. He earned his undergraduate degree at George Fox University in Oregon and his Doctor of Pastoral Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. Richard and his wife, Carolynn, live near Denver, Colorado.
