Daniel Chia-Te Liu

A native of Taiwan, Daniel Chia-Te Liu was accepted to the musically gifted class by Keelong Senior High School in Taipei County with highest honor at age fifteen. Liu went to Australia at the age of sixteen to pursue bachelor degree in music at Australian National University. Daniel has been awarded honors and prizes from the Chamber Music Competition at ANU, Margaret Smile Accompaniment Competition, Australian Eisteddfod Piano Competition and International Piano Competition in Taiwan. After completing his both bachelor and master degrees from ANU, he decided to come to America to continue his studies in the United States. He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Musical Arts in University of Kansas and studying with Dr. Scott McBride Smith. Daniel has been invited to serve as adjudicator for Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) since year of 2010.
