Bachelor of Arts in Theatre: Secondary Education minor
The Theatre major introduces you to dramatic literature, acting, directing, design, and criticism. You will synthesize many art forms including creative writing, voice, movement, dance, painting, visual composition, sound, music, lighting, costume design, and set construction. Your professors will guide you through different theatrical styles, periods and conventions.
This degree program was developed for those who want to teach at the secondary level. You will gain hands-on, in-classroom experiences. Prospective secondary education teachers learn how to identify and be sensitive to the unique needs, challenges and learning styles of diverse student populations.
