It’s easy to be upbeat when the wind is at your back. But what do you do when you flunk an exam, lose the big game or feel alone? Based upon his work with students at the University of Minnesota, Veninga will provide heart-felt knowledge about the miracle of “hope” in human life.
About the Speaker
Dr. Robert L. Veninga is an award-winning author and one of America’s most trusted speakers. He has spoken to more than 1,000 audiences throughout the world, including presentations in Europe, South America and China. Six of Veninga’s presentations have been featured in the prestigious Vital Speeches of the Day which publishes the best speeches delivered to national and international audiences.
He is the author of four critically acclaimed books and over 100 articles appearing in scientific and professional literature. Veninga’s research focuses on resiliency and has been featured on the Today Show and cited in Time, Corporate Reports, Readers Digest and other prominent publications. He is a member of the Teacher’s Hall of Fame at the University of Minnesota where he holds the rank of Professor Emeritus in the School of Public Health.
Veninga’s academic background includes graduate degrees (PhD, MA) in Speech-Communication from the University of Minnesota focusing on organizational and cross-cultural communications, as well as a graduate degree (BD) from the Sioux Falls Seminary. He is an active layperson in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and does extensive volunteer service to faith-based organizations. Veninga is the past Chair of the Board of Trustees at the University of Sioux Falls.
He has had a consistent record of providing inspiring speeches to a wide range of audiences including Fortune 500 companies, financial service organizations, hospitals, government agencies, faith-based organizations and educational institutions.
