Ottawa University - Phoenix offers Complimentary Workshop is Back by Popular Demand: "Your Words Have Power"
Nancy Harkins, award-winning international motivational speaker and facilitator of Life Choices, is offering an encore of her complimentary workshop at the Ottawa University Phoenix campus on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The Phoenix campus is located at 10020 N. 25 th Avenue , on the east side of I-17 between Dunlap and Peoria Avenues.
Life Choices, LLC offers personal and professional growth through workshops and seminars to assist numerous corporations and industries throughout the valley with communication issues in the workplace. Harkins offers a variety of ways to get employees involved in the learning process. Role playing, open discussion and group exercises are just a few of the activities that engage employees and help them to improve customer service, communication skills, leadership, and teamwork. Harkins has experience as a supervisor, manager, business owner, corporate coach, and consultant. Her experiences help her to motivate teams and guide them to utilize new skills.
In the workshop titled, "Your Words Have Power: How to Develop Effective Communication Skills," Harkins will teach listeners to use words that build self-esteem and self-confidence. Her audience will also develop effective communication skills by learning to listen more clearly to themselves and others, thus reducing stress and conflict in personal relationships. Attendees will leave with four guiding principals for effective communication as well as specific tools and techniques to assist them in successful implementation of these principles in every aspect of life.
Harkins is an Ottawa University graduate. She holds her bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently working on her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. In addition to the seminars and training programs Harkins administers, she also facilitates the creation and implementation of vision and mission/purpose statements for corporations and individuals. Her Vision Statement reads, "I am a facilitator of personal and professional growth and development in myself and others."
