Teaching Through Progressive Discipline: Complimentary Workshop at Ottawa University
PHOENIX, Arizona - Dr. Baron Smith, adjunct professor of Business at Ottawa University and CEO/president of Key Solutions Group, Inc., will give a complimentary workshop at Ottawa University's Phoenix campus on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Phoenix campus is located at 10020 N. 25th Avenue, on the east side of I-17 between Dunlap and Peoria Avenues.
This workshop provides a modified approach to using progressive discipline to gain desired behaviors of our valuable employees. That is, discipline should be viewed as a teaching tool rather than a punishment for undesired behaviors that lead to poor performance. Why and how progressive discipline should be used to alter behaviors will be discussed, including coaching, mentoring, counseling, verbal warnings, written warnings, suspensions, and termination.
Ottawa University is proud to host unique, exciting workshops each month to provide the perfect educational and networking medium for all levels of business professionals. All Ottawa University workshops are complimentary and open to business community.
