Ottawa University Offers Free Tax Preparation
OTTAWA, Kansas - As an annual service-learning project within its accounting department, Ottawa University accounting students, under the supervision of instructor Ted Chapman, will once again provide free preparation of income tax forms for members of the local Ottawa community. Forms included in the service are federal forms 1040A, 1040EZ, Homestead tax, and Food and Sales tax, as well as all associated state forms.
Anyone wanting to make use of the service can come to the University on Tuesdays, February 6 - April 9, from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Administration Building room 105. Tax information can also be dropped off Monday - Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the same location. Clients will then be called when their taxes are ready to be picked up.
