New Manager to Lead OU Communications Department
Former broadcaster steps in
OTTAWA, Kansas - Ottawa University is pleased to announce the hiring of Scott Miller as manager of University communications. Miller brings two decades of communications experience to the University, with previous stints in higher education, broadcasting, and professional sports public relations.
In broadcasting, Miller served as a news and sports anchor/reporter and was the Salt Lake City-based correspondent for such national outlets as AP Network Sports, ESPN Radio, and Fox Sports Radio. Some of the high-profile events he has covered include the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics, the 1997 and 1998 NBA Finals, and 10 NCAA basketball tournaments. Miller has also provided play-by-play for both radio and television.
Miller holds a Master of Professional Communication degree from Westminster (UT) College and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Journalism from Weber State University. He is a past member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).

Miller and his wife, Cherise, will be relocating to Kansas. They are the parents of three daughters and one son. The couple is expecting their fifth child in the fall.
