Fusion Business Expo

OU Expo introduces students to Ottawa businesses

OTTAWA, Kansas - New students and returning students alike will be welcomed back to Ottawa University this fall with the Fusion Business Expo on Tuesday, August 21, 2007.  The Business Expo, organized by Ottawa University, The Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and the Franklin County Visitors Bureau, kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with multiple events, including local merchant booths and a barbeque dinner catered by of OU's caterer, Sodexho Dining Services.

The Expo takes place the first day of the Welcome Week festivities, and is organized to help students learn more about the University and what the town of Ottawa has to offer.  This event is open to all students and their families, University employees, alumni, and Ottawa community members.   Ottawa University would like to continue this annual tradition at the start of each school year as a way of introducing students and employees to the community.

In an effort to promote more involvement between Ottawa University, its students, and the community, several local businesses are expected to participate with booths in the Mabee Center.  At the booths, students will be able to learn more about the businesses and their services, pick up literature, and receive product samples.  The barbeque and the Expo will run simultaneously.

For more information about the Fusion Business Expo, please give Ottawa University a call at 800-755-5200 ext.1067, or visit their website at http://www.ottawa.edu.
