OU Homecoming Activities Set for October 19-20

Welcome Back!

OTTAWA, Kansas - Alumni, current students and friends of Ottawa University are preparing to participate in the 2007 Homecoming Weekend activities scheduled for October 19-20 on the OU campus, 1001 S. Cedar Street in Ottawa, Kansas. Members of the community are invited to join in the week's activities preceding Homecoming, as well as in the scheduled events on Friday and Saturday.

 

Wednesday, October 17

5:00 and 7:00 p.m. - Women's and Men's Soccer Games, Peoples Bank Field

 

Thursday, October 18

7:00 p.m. - Volleyball Game, Wilson Field House

8:00 p.m. - Mr. Brave pageant, OU Chapel

8:30 p.m. - OUTheatre Production "Face Value," Larry Peters Auditorium. Ticket price:  $5.  Purchase tickets in advance (866-324-8788) or at the door. Seating is limited.

 

Friday, October 19

4:00-6:00 p.m. - Registration, Mowbray Union

4:30 p.m. - Track and Field Turf Reception, Peoples Bank Field. Welcome; refreshments; track and field open for viewing.

5:45 p.m. - Braves Athletic Hall of Fame Induction and Banquet, Mowbray Union Dining Commons. $20. To register/purchase tickets, call the OU Alumni Office, 866-324-8788.

7:30 p.m. - "O" Club Pep Rally, OU Gazebo

8:30 p.m. - OUTheatre Production "Face Value," Larry Peters Auditorium. Ticket price: $5.  Purchase tickets in advance (866-324-8788) or at the door. Seating is limited.

 

Saturday, October 20

10:00 a.m. - Family Fun Activities, Mabee Center (no registration required). OU faculty provide activities for the whole family: science demonstrations ("slime" and homemade ice cream); activities from Macedonia provided by Dr. Steven Foulke; history scavenger hunt; arrowhead rattle craft.

11:30 a.m. - Braves Tailgate Lunch, Mabee Center. $13 adults, $10 children. Register/purchase tickets by calling 866-324-8788.

12:00 p.m. - Homecoming Royalty Coronation, Mabee Center.

1:00 p.m. - Track and Field Turf Dedication, Peoples Bank Field. Game ticket required.

1:30 p.m. - Braves Football: OU vs. McPherson College, Peoples Bank Field. Ticket prices:  $5 adults, $3 children at the gate.

6:00 p.m. - Reunion Dinners for the class of 2002, 1997, 1992, and 1987.  

8:30 p.m. - OUTheatre Production "Face Value," Larry Peters Auditorium. Ticket price: $5. Purchase tickets in advance (866-324-8788) or at the door. Seating is limited.
