OU Presidential Search Committee Co-Chairs Announced

Lee and Felix to head up the committee

OTTAWA, Kansas - Mrs. Patti B. Wolf, chair of the Ottawa University Board of Trustees, has announced that Mrs. Wynndee Lee and Mr. Larry Felix will co-chair the Presidential Search Committee. Both Lee and Felix, members of the OU Board of Trustees and the board executive committee, will oversee a committee charged with selecting the 21st President of Ottawa University.

Lee currently serves as interim city manager for the City of Ottawa and serves as the secretary to the OU Board of Trustees. Felix is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas.

"While the OU Board of Trustees has many responsibilities, the importance of selecting a president is its top priority," said Wolf. "Wynndee and Larry are skilled executives and have worked well together on many community projects in the past. The board is appreciative for their willingness to serve and looks forward to their leadership in the search process. Also, the University is fortunate to have experienced a seamless transition in leadership as our interim president, Dr. Fred Zook, has our continued support and confidence."

The co-chairs will select individuals to join the search committee. An announcement regarding the full committee membership is anticipated during the October board meeting.
