OU Orchestra to Perform November 4
The music of Elgar and Mendelssohn will be featured
OTTAWA, Kansas - The Ottawa University Orchestra, under the direction of Steve McDonald, will present its first concert of the 2007-08 concert season on Sunday, November 4, at 3:00 p.m. in the University Chapel. Featured works will be Sir Edward Elgar's "Minuet, op. 21," and the "Romance for Bassoon and Orchestra" (Leigh Miller, soloist). Also featured will be Felix Mendelssohn's "War March of the Priests" and "Symphony No. 1."
The Ottawa University Orchestra is comprised of students, faculty, professional players and members of the Ottawa community. The Orchestra presents four concerts annually in the OU Chapel. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
