Ottawa University-Indiana to Host Commencement
JEFFERSONVILLE, Indiana - Ottawa University - Indiana will hold its 143rd Anniversary Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, 2402 Highway 62. The ceremonies are free and open to the public.
Kristine A. Young, BA, MA '02, Administrative Director for International Programs at Kansas State University, will deliver the ceremony's commencement address, "Education = Opportunity." You Raised Me Up by Rolf Lovland will be performed by Carol Pritchard '83. Academic Honors will be conferred by Campus Executive Officer Lonnie Cooper. Following a charge to the graduates by OU President Fred B. Zook, 28 degree candidates will be presented and awarded their degrees.
"We are very proud of our adult learner graduates and their families for all the hard work and sacrifices they have made to achieve this academic honor," said Cooper. "We are also thrilled to have Kristine Young as our commencement speaker in that she began the Ottawa University Indiana campus back in 2002."
A reception will immediately follow the commencement ceremonies at the church.
