OU Presidential Search Team Members Announced

OTTAWA, Kansas - Mr. Larry Felix and Mrs. Wynndee Lee, co-chairs, announce the membership of the Ottawa University Presidential Search Team.

The members are Dr. Gus Breytspraak, Dr. Kim Coffman-Romero, Dr. Hank Scherich, Mr. Joel K. Ma, Mrs. Gaynia Menninger, Mrs. Patti B. Wolf, Dr. Debra Smith, Rev. Steve Kawiecki, Ms. Teranee Hutch, Dr. Henry “Hank” Tillinghast, Mr. Wayne Duderstadt, Dr. Wayne Paulsen, and OU Interim President, Dr. Fred B. Zook. The team is comprised of members of the OU Board of Trustees, faculty from The College and APS locations, College alumni, and students.

“We are excited to have this diverse team of people from so many constituencies,” said Felix. “This mix of skills will most certainly propel our search team toward our goal of presenting one or more ideal presidential candidates to the OU Board of Trustees.”

The team is charged with searching for and identifying the best candidates to serve as the 21st President of Ottawa University. It will conduct a national search to obtain applications from qualified candidates, make thorough assessment of those candidates, and develop a short list of best-fit candidates. The team will then present its recommendations to the OU Board of Trustees, which will ultimately make the hiring decision regarding the new president.
