Ottawa University offers a variety of career and job placement resources to its students and alumni through the OU Career Services department. An expanded resource that alumni may not be aware of is the new JOBS CENTRAL® national job board offered through College Central Network (CCN). The job board is a new way for students and alumni to job search using one tool that centralizes the search process.
CCN’s JOBS CENTRAL national job board is now comprised of jobs from tens of thousands of unique sources, including the nation’s major job boards, Monster, CareerBuilder, HotJobs, etc., as well as national and local newspapers, associations, and company Web sites. New features include search by job title, company name or keyword, as well as search by distance to city, state, and/or zip code.
CCN does not require students or alumni to register on outside partner sites and never shares users’ names and email addresses.
Employers can assist OU students and alumni with their careers by becoming a Professional Experience Partner. Hosting a shadowship, internship, part-time or full-time work experience will help students and alumni build their resumes and find their new careers. In return, employers gain positive advantage for their companies by benefitting immediately from an earnest worker. They also gain immediate access to an employment pool of sharp, eager, willing to work graduates.
Logon to www.collegecentral.com/ottawa to register as an Employer before you post your career experience opportunity; OU students need openings in all parts of the country.
If you are seeking employment, register as Alumni to post your resume, review career development tools, and view more than 400,000 job postings. Check back frequently as jobs are being added daily. There is no charge for either service.
