Every advent season, the Ottawa University Department of Theological and Religious Studies publishes an Advent Devotional booklet for the community. The publication is then transformed into an online devotional that allows readers to follow along as a new devotional is released every day. This year, devotionals for each day, from December 2 through December 24, were submitted by fourteen individuals. “The Advent Devotional is produced in order to help believers in Jesus Christ to prepare to celebrate His birth,” says Professor of Religion Dr. Richard Menninger, “and it is also to allow others to learn of how Jesus Christ can change their lives.” The devotional will remain active until next fall at www.ottawa.edu/Advent
. The department also produces a Lenten Devotional, which is available beginning Ash Wednesday, February 13 through March 30 at www.ottawa.edu/Lent.
