How does the energy crisis affect you, the individual, and what practical options are available to you as a Kansas homeowner for utilizing alternative energy sources? Those and other questions will be addressed during an energy forum on Saturday, November 8, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon in the Larry Peters Auditorium on the Ottawa University campus, 1001 S. Cedar Street, Ottawa, Kansas. The event is free and open to the public.
The keynote speakers for the forum are Brian A. Rock, assistant professor of architectural engineering at the University of Kansas, and Nancy Jackson of the Land Institute in Salina, Kansas. Also speaking will be Kansas State Senator Pat Apple and a panel of Franklin County home owners who are living energy-saving lifestyles and have built energy-saving homes, including OU trustees Ramon and Glenda Schmidt.
The forum is being sponsored by the Ottawa Herald, Ottawa University's Division of Business and Public Policy, and the OU senior core board consisting of Eric Cordell, Emily Loughary, Kevan Welsh, and Zack Bader.
