Getting Started

International students interested in attending the campus in Ottawa, Kansas, should complete and submit the following documents to Ottawa University today!

  • An Undergraduate Application form. Complete this online, or you can request that a paper application be mailed to you.
  • A $15 U.S. application fee (waived for online application submission).
  • Attested or official transcripts in English of all secondary coursework.
  • A catalog or school bulletin describing courses taken and a grading scale used may be necessary for transcript evaluation.
  • A copy of the secondary school diploma or certificate.
  • Official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score. Sign up to take the TOEFL. To have ETS send TOEFL scores directly to Ottawa University, indicate 6547 in the institution code and 00 in the department code.
  • Scores of standardized tests (i.e. SAT or ACT). This is particularly important for Ottawa University scholarship eligibility. Sign up for the SAT, or sign up for the ACT.
  • If you have previously attended college courses at an overseas college or university, you must have all postsecondary work evaluated, course by course, at your expense by a transcript evaluation agency approved by Ottawa University.College credit may be awarded based on the evaluation provided by the agency.
  • If you have previously attended another U.S. college or university, official transcripts must be submitted for evaluation.
  • Once accepted for admission to Ottawa University, the International Student Transfer Clearance Form must be completed.
