ACTIVITY AWARDS

Ottawa University's activity awards are available to students who participate in certain extra-curricular or co-curricular activities. There are significant opportunities for awards in a number of areas. Amounts vary and continued participation is required to keep the award. The following information describes application procedures and the requirements for initial recommendation.

A student may accept only one of the following athletic or non-athletic awards. However, all students are encouraged to participate in any activity area in which they may have an interest. Many students at Ottawa University participate in a variety of activity areas without receiving an activity award.

Activity Awards may be added to any other academic scholarship, academic grant, or Ottawa University grant for which the student is eligible. Total institutional aid may not exceed the cost of tuition.

Athletic Awards

Ottawa University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) and offers 14 sports for men and women. Student-athletes seeking athletic activity awards at Ottawa University should contact the coach in their desired sport to arrange a tryout or submission of tapes, if required.

Non-Athletic Awards

Students are encouraged to participate in any activity area in which they may have an interest. And should contact the award sponsor to arrange an audition or interview, if required.
