OTTAWA UNIVERSITY AWARDS (freshmen or transfer students unless noted otherwise)

Ottawa Indian Award
Full Tuition per academic year

Awarded to members of the Ottawa Indian Tribe of Oklahoma. Verification of tribal membership must be submitted and be approved by the tribal office.

Alumni Award
$2,000 per academic year

Awarded to children or grandchildren of Ottawa University graduates. Students must be accepted for admission and be enrolled full-time. 

Sibling Award
$1,000 each per academic year

Awarded to concurrently enrolled siblings attending Ottawa University, retained if sibling graduates.

American Baptist Church Award
$2,000 per academic year

Awarded to students who are members of an American Baptist Church (requires submission of official letter from the pastor or church official stating that the student is a current member of the church).

Regional American Baptist Church Award
$500 each academic year

Awarded to members of American Baptist Churches of the Central Region (Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas) or Rocky Mountain Region (Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Eastern Utah). Students may receive this award in addition to the American Baptist Church award. 

Franklin County Award (limited number depending on housing availability)
$2,000 per academic year

Awarded to students who graduated from a Franklin County, Kansas high school and reside on-campus at Ottawa University. 

Counties Contiguous to Franklin County Award (limited number depending on housing availability)
$1,000 per academic year

Awarded to students who graduated from a high school in Osage, Douglas, Miami, Linn, Anderson, or Coffey County and reside on-campus at OU.

Private Faith-Based High School Award (freshmen only)
$1,000 per academic year

Awarded to a graduate from a faith-based high school.


NEED BASED INSTITUTIONAL AID

Ottawa University understands the challenges that many families face in affording a quality private liberal arts education. Institutional need-based grants may be awarded to students with significant financial need, as determined by federal methodology. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed.
