Ottawa University is dedicated to your success. Our faculty and staff provide students with a variety of academic support services to assist you. Listed below are some of the programs and services available.
Academic Advising Each student is assigned an academic advisor familiar with your particular major. These are primarily full-time faculty within your program of study. Your advisor is available to answer specific questions regaridng class scheduling, academic support services such as tutoring and library services, and to provide advice and suggestions regarding other questions
Students with Disabilities Ottawa University strives to provide equal education and participation opportunities for every student. Ottawa University intends for all its programs and facilities to be accessible to persons with disabilities.
Center for Academic Excellence Students desiring assistance with academic work outside of the classroom may utilize the services in the Center of Academic Excellence on both a short or long-term basis.
The Myers Library facility is located in Ottawa, Kansas, and services all the Ottawa University locations within the United States. The Myers Library collection currently contains nearly 84,000 books and other printed materials, more than 6,500 e-books, 186 periodical titles, nearly 80,000 periodical volumes, audiocassettes, videos, DVDs and other multimedia materials. The library also maintains subscriptions to 13 electronic databases that offer indexes, abstracts, full-text journal articles, and other resources from leading information providers. Collectively, these databases cover a wide range of academic disciplines, including the arts, sciences, business, humanities, technology, human resources and education.
