Dr. Gina Deegan, an Ottawa graduate herself, has served as an educator in the Phoenix community for eighteen years. She has worked at the Isaac School District as a teacher and administrator since 2000, and is currently the district’s English Language Arts Strategist. She has been an adjunct instructor at Ottawa University since 2007. Prior to education, she was a journalist at The Arizona Republic. She earned her Doctorate in Education, Organization Leadership, from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Arts in English Literature and Linguistics from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and a secondary teaching certificate from Ottawa. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses for Ottawa in Proseminar (now Writing and Critical Thinking), English, Education, Reading Endorsement, Mathematics, and Graduate Review.
