Kathy Markley grew up near Chicago, Illinois and completed her undergraduate degree (BA) at the University of Iowa. For 5 years she taught 6th grade in Des Moines, before moving to Overland Park. She taught in Center School District for 25 years, and during that time taught some seminars on Fred Jones’ Tools for Teaching classroom management at Baker University. Professor Markley also received her MAT degree during this time from Webster University. After retirement she became an adjunct supervisor for Ottawa University’s education program and is still very involved. In her free time she travels with her husband and enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandson.
