Instructor Lisa Weiss earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology in 2007 from the University of North Dakota and further completed all PhD coursework in the program. She has four years of counseling experience, five years of research experience and six years of teaching experience.
She has counseled a wide range of individuals from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds, as well as military, grade school-aged and community populations. Lisa has held several advocacy positions working with traditionally underserved populations and completed several undergraduate programs of this type in her educational endeavors.
Currently, Lisa teaches psychology and human services courses as well as research methods, statistics and physiology for the social sciences at Ottawa University and Upper Iowa University, where she has also been a subject matter expert (SME) for senior projects for Psychology and Human Services majors. In addition to teaching, Lisa is a graduate writing tutor for online students at Herzing University.
