I have made a career advocating for higher learning since 2010. Prior to my career in higher education, I ran my family’s health food store, sold real estate as a licensed Realtor, managed properties, worked in workforce development and managed a small family business.
When did you start at Ottawa University?: February2017
Hometown: Elizabethtown, KY (Have you seen the movie!?)
Current Residence: Shepherdsville, KY
I coach and play men’s softball. I coach my son’s basketball team. I enjoy being creative by drawing, photography and videography (filming and editing). I enjoy watching movies/television shows with my fiancée’ and two boys. We also act really goofy when we are chilling at home and are huge super hero nerds! I also volunteer in my community; currently I sit on the board of a non-profit and Department Chair of the Development Committee of Mom’s Closet Resource Center (http://momsclosetcenter.org/
Why do you work in education?
I consider my career in education as a vocation, as I have passion to help others succeed and develop. As a servant leader, my focus is on the growth and advocacy of education in my family and community. I am excited for the opportunity to develop OU’s brand and establish a long career with this remarkable university. I am currently the President of ACE, which is a consortium of schools that work towards a common goal to advocate higher learning in Louisville, KY.
