Minor in Communication

Effective communicators are valued in all careers. The communication major will allow you to develop your people skills and public performance skills, in addition to increasing your knowledge of mass media, advertising, public relations, and more. You can choose from concentrations including advertising, broadcasting, communication, film, journalism, public relations, speech performance, and visual communication. You can also pick and choose from among the concentrations to design your own focus.

Communication majors have a variety of on-campus opportunities to enhance their skills, including the student radio station, The Ottawan yearbook, speech and debate organizations, as well as media sales and photography for the campus media outlets.
