Education Specialist in School Psychology
Ottawa University’s Education Specialist in School Psychology is a graduate degree program designed to help educational professionals facilitate the academic, social and emotional development of young learners in school settings. An educational requirement for professionals seeking a career as a school psychologist, the Ed.S. helps graduates develop expertise in a number of psychological and educational foundations. Coursework covers historical issues in school psychology, the dynamics of loss and grief, assessment and intervention methodology, and counseling and consultation strategies — the insights and skills necessary to advocate for children and improve the young learners educational experience.
Graduates are required to complete an internship in a school setting. School psychology follows the requirements of the Arizona Department of Education.
