Elementary Education
The Elementary Education program at Ottawa University is designed to help you gain the knowledge, social competencies, methods, communication skills and sensitivity necessary to be an effective educator in a school environment. In this program, you will complete methods courses, professional education courses and field experiences/observations. You can also improve your knowledge and understanding of liberal arts areas, such as mathematics, science, writing, communication and the fine arts. Teacher education programs at Ottawa University are state approved in Arizona and Kansas, and the Kansas unit is also accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
