Life of Significance Grant

Designed specifically for undergraduate students who are first time Ottawa University enrollees, the Life of Significance Grant offers students the chance to take up to 54 undergraduate credit hours at a discounted rate of $100 per credit hour.

The grant will be made available to students beginning in the Spring 2013 term.

How long does the grant last?

From the start of a student’s first term, the Life of Significance Grant will be in effect for 24 months (2 years) or until 54 credit hours* have been reached. After 24 months have passed or the maximum credit hours have been accomplished, students will be expected to pay the posted per credit hour rate in effect for that current term and class.

*This includes any credit hours transferred from another institution.

How do I remain eligible each semester?

Students who are awarded the Life of Significance Grant must maintain a 2.0 GPA (“C” average) or better in order to continue receiving benefits. Failure to maintain a 2.0 GPA or better will result in the loss of the grant.

How to apply

Students who wish to earn the Life of Significance Grant must submit a 500 word essay to their Enrollment Advisor during the admissions process describing what a “life of significance” means to them. Any student who applies for the grant will also sign a waiver that allows the marketing department to use essay information as student testimonials.
