Dr. Kelly Fish-Greenlee lives in Ottawa, Kansas and is a Professor of Sociology and Human Services.  She has been teaching in the Sociology Department at Ottawa University for 25 years.  She is also a graduate of the institution.  Her undergraduate work was in Human Services and Education while her graduate work focused on symbolic anthropology and identity work.  In addition to teaching, Dr. Fish-Greenlee is also engaged with her students in the ongoing oral history project with the Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma.  This project is part of the Ottawa University Research Service (OURS) which links students with community agencies in task oriented service learning experiences.

As an anthropologist, Dr. Fish-Greenlee has broad ranging interests and to that end, she spends part of her summer every year in the Orkney Islands, an archipelago off of the northern coast of Scotland.  These islands boast an average of three Neolithic archaeological sites per square mile.  Her colleagues and students accompany her to Orkney on a biannual basis to study both the literature and the archaeology of the islands.
