Ryan Louis received his bachelor’s degree in film production from Webster University and a Master of Arts in Speech Communication: Rhetoric and Performance Studies from Hofstra University. He has completed his doctoral course work in Communication Studies at the University of Kansas. His academic interests include rhetoric and public memory; specifically, he studies the conflicts/ controversies at the intersections of commemoration, geography and identity. His past experiences include coordinating post-production and tent-pole events (e.g. Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and the European Music Awards) at MTV Networks International. In addition to work with VH1, Nickelodeon and MTV News, he participated in post-production for the Academy Award winning documentary, Born into Brothels.
