Web browsers, Blackboard, and other web based applications frequently require updates to expand functionality, fix bugs, or address security issues. These changes don't necessarily sync up all the time across applications so functionality can break. To minimize these issues we recommend faculty and students maintain up-to-date versions of whatever browser they prefer. Browsers may update automatically, but you can check for available updates. Update your browser if one is available.

The Blackboard Annotate tool, which professors use to view and grade documents attached to assignments, occasionally removes formatting from documents when the instructor views them.

Permalinks to library resources must be edited to remain usable for students.

The IDAT (Instructional Design and Academic Technology) Library: Resources for Online Teaching and Course Development resource library is available to all faculty and adjuncts and includes videos, information about open educational resources, and best practices.
