Got Direction?

In answering that question, he proposed that perhaps it isn’t the destination that is most important, but how we live, how we treat people, and what we contribute over the course of the journey that truly matters. He encouraged graduates to dream, to plan, to develop personal mission statements – but also to remember that life is unpredictable and fragile. So on both the mapped and unmapped roads of our lives, it is our values that will guide us in making the world a better place for having lived in it. “I read a devotion recently,” Felix shared. “It said ‘an education of the mind without education of the heart is no education at all.’ If compassion and doing the right thing cannot come from your fresh souls that are now embarking on your new life adventure, then where will it come from? Will you have an inner mission and ethical values that will allow you to often go against the grain and the path of least resistance to stand for and do what is right ….?” Will you?
