Following his presentation, Scott also met with students in the Mowbray Union throughout the day. Scott, who lives in Ottawa, was paralyzed at the age of 16 after a near-fatal car accident, but refused to let his circumstances get the best of him. He is now a professional speaker and professional wheelchair bodybuilder. Scott’s goal is to inspire and motivate everyone he meets to transform their lives. “I want to teach students how to go from A to Z,” says Scott. “I may be a local guy, but I know how to relate to the students to help, teach and guide them to reach and achieve their dreams.” Scott has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ottawa University. He is a certified fitness trainer, certified specialist in performance nutrition and is the president of Wheelchair Bodybuilding, Inc. and Wheelchair Athletics, Inc. “You can’t make that change until you really know what’s influencing and driving your actions,” says Scott. “Your beliefs, needs and emotional patterns are invisible forces that determine how you live your life every day. You can learn how to become stronger, more resourceful and more powerful than you ever thought possible.”
