Season Ushered in with Christmas Vespers

Posted by Paula Paine on January 14, 2015 in The traditional Christmas Vespers service at Ottawa University has been scheduled for Sunday, December 8, at 4 p.m. in the Fredrikson Chapel, 1001 S. Cedar Street, Ottawa, Kansas. The event is free and open to the public.
During the service, the OU Orchestra, Concert Choir, and University Women and Belle Chanson will each perform, with featured works by Franz Biebl, Paul Manz, Sir Richard R. Terry, Gustav Holst, and Leroy Anderson, among others.
The Vespers celebration will include passages from the Nativity story, and audience members will have the opportunity to join in by singing familiar Christmas carols.
