OU Braves Cheer and Dance Team Capture First KCAC Championships

The Ottawa University cheer and dance teams captured the 2018 KCAC Championship title. This is the first season cheer and dance has competed as a sport and was eligible to compete for the title. In the past, the teams participated in the championships as an exhibition.
 
The cheer team finished the event with 79.93 points, their second highest total of the season, while the dance team earned their highest point total of the season at 74.16.

Nine student-athletes were named to the All-KCAC teams, including three First-Team selections, four Second-Team selections and two Honorable Mentions.

Sophomore Nicole Brey was named the cheer team’s Champion of Character and Brookelynne Towles received the dance team’s honor.
