Ottawa University Holds 152nd Commencement Ceremony

Posted by Janae Melvin on June 28, 2017 in The 152nd Commencement ceremony took place at Fredrikson Chapel for students of The College, OUKC and online on Saturday, May 6. Additional ceremonies took place in Phoenix, AZ; Jeffersonville, IN; and Brookfield, WI, to present graduates from those campus locations with their degrees.

President Kevin Eichner and Unviersity Provost Dr. Terry Haines conducted the ceremonies with students and guests attending a reception following each ceremony where they were able to celebrate their accomplishments in the classroom and the completion of their higher education journey.

At the residential campus, students continued the tradition of walking through the class flags and across campus to Fredrikson Chapel. Interim Dean of the Angell Snyder School of Business Dr. Kirk Wessel gave the commencement address, “Falling Down on the Job.”

Each ceremony, no matter the location, concluded with the singing of OU’s alma mater, “My Ottawa.”
