Day 19 - March 7, 2018

John 17:26

“and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:26

Not too long ago, I read an article by Nicki Koziarz called If-Then Love. Her article revolved around “agape” love, and it made me want to discover it more. First, let’s dive into what agape love is. Agape love translates as the highest form of love. This kind of love is unlike any other because it is unconditional, and there are no stipulations. It is the kind of love that God has for us, and was displayed to us when God handed his one and only Son to die on the cross for our sins.

Now, it is our time to live out John 17:25, which references agape love. This verse presents us with two goals. First, we need to fully experience and understand the agape love that God has for us so we can complete our second goal, which is to spread it to others. Through grace and forgiveness, we can grow our connection with God, and show others what He truly is; Love.

Today, don’t let your love be controlled by the circumstances around you. Chose to look past the flaws we all suffer from, and choose to see what God sees; His beautiful creations who deserve the highest form of love.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Reveal to me your love more and more every day, so I can radiate it to those around me who need it most. Help me focus my gaze on you, so I can maintain this kind of love for myself and others.

Thank you for giving us another day to glorify you.

In your son’s name we pray,
